Postpartum

In most cultures around the world, there has been a tradition of the mother and baby remaining sequestered in a special place together for the first two months. There is good reason for this:the mother and baby are getting rest, nursing is not interrupted, and they are not exposed to other illnesses.

In our contemporary culture, we as parents need to claim the time to honor this new beginning. It is a transition from pregnancy and birth to early infancy, a significant time in laying a foundation for your family.
