Moments in Time

“When a child is born, the entire Universe has to shift and make room”.  Stephen Gaskin

No matter your situation, take the time to appreciate your newborn and your new abilities as a parent.Remember thisGolden Rule of Postpartum.
Two Naps. One Event.

A nap in the morning, a nap in the afternoon. Because at night, you mostly just get naps.  15 minutes of stretching out and closing your eyes is a nap.
An event is a visit to the pediatrician, or your aunt comes over. One a day, not both the same day.

For your first days and weeks postpartum, it will help to plan on naps (however brief) and set your visiting hours.

You’ll continually learn and adjust.  It’s easier if you have good support and give yourself this extra time in the beginning.
